Yellow By Special Request…

One of my blog friends Corina left a comment in my last post with a special request. These images are for her!

(Click Here for the large version of this one)

Corina I do not see to many yellow birds here and I have no idea what the names of these two are (perhaps someone with more bird know how will let us know). It was just by luck that I was able to take these pictures. I was out on the big deck that over looks the hawthorn tree waiting for another cedar waxwing to show up, and out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash of yellow. I am hoping this summer I will have better luck with these ones!

Happy Friday Corina!

Morning Rambles…

Good Morning Blogland!

Thought I would sneak in here early and get a post up. Seriously I do intend to post every day, but well you all know how that goes — but I am here now.

One of the things that I have been thinking about for awhile now is building a meditation/thinking/just sit garden – or perhaps just a spot in the garden. I want this spot to be fairly close to the house, but at the same time have it so that it is a quiet and private. Possible? Sure why not! Right now this garden spot is plans only in my mind, but I will be putting them on paper soon, and hopefully as soon as the weather warms enough to get outside for any length of time those plans will be put into reality. Maybe by the end of summer or sooner I will have pictures that I can show you of ‘my’ spot.

‘My’ Spot… how funny that sounds in my head, or here in print. Seems my whole life I have been trying to create ‘my’ spot. Interesting….

So moving on… I was finally able to capture a picture of this fellow the other day. I tell you these guys are hard to get a picture of  (at least for me), they seem to spook easily. But on this day I just happened to be in the right spot at the right time with my camera in hand.

When you were in school, did you have a favorite color of ink that you loved to write with? Do you now? I did – see the color of this guys wings, the blue… that was my color, and I think that is why I like this bird.  His coloring somehow gives me warmth. Weird I know. He can be a nasty bird, and we have had some interesting run ins with him over the years for sure. Stealing all our camp food – throwing pine needles at us while we were in the hot tub on vacation…  but still the blue…

Ok time for me to get out of here for now…  back to work (speaking of work, check out the Connections blog, you could win a free signed book!)

Connections — how are you doing it?

Wow it has been a crazy past few months… but hopefully everything is starting to settle here in Truddle~land now.

If feels like forever since I have really sat down here to blog… blog in the way that I used to… and so here I am now, just letting my fingers walk through the keys on my keyboard, and say what they will….

Does anyone here remember the days since past when you would meet up on the internet in your favorite chat room, to chit chat with your friends from around the world. This is before Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets. There was no such thing as blogs, although we did have what we called Homepages, which in a sence were much like the blogs of today. It seems now there are so many options to connect with friends, that one cannot simply go to one spot to interact. I think I miss that!

Now don’t get me wrong, I do like Twitter and Facebook, and yes I use both, and feel free to hunt me down on either and ‘Friend’ me if you so choose. It is just some days while sitting in my office alone, no TV on, no music playing in the background — in other words in a quiet house — and it all seems very noisy. There are times that I have to push the X on my computer, just to hear my own thoughts. Weird I know.

How are you finding time to connect with your online friends? Do you do it through your blog or other social media outlet? How do you find the time to spend real quality time with them?

I have this blog – my mystic creations blog – my work community blog – Facebook – Twitter – email – Instant messenger (although I tend to leave this off for the most part) – Discussion boards —- and the list goes on. It is almost to much. I miss really connecting with people on here. I miss meeting new people, although since I have set up twitter and facebook I am meeting more — but something just seems to be missing.

Connections — how are you doing it?

Happy Birthday Sullivan!

(Sullivan 1 year)

What an incredible year it has been, and thank you to all my blog friends who have followed along. Sullivan is now 1 year old. Amazing how fast this year has flown by. I have tons more to say, but I also have a lot of work to finish up today, so for now I will leave you with some birthday pictures (after the jump) and I will check in here again in a day or so to fill you all in.
