Monday ramblings….

Jamie and I had some time this past weekend to sit and talk, just the two of us.  Our three youngest children have been keeping us very busy – even though the youngest of the three is now twenty! Funny how even as our children are now young adults they still need mom and dad. It is nice!

Sharlyn has been staying with us the last couple of months, and will probably continue to do so for at least another month. Big renovations are going on at her and Jason’s house, and her being pregnant she does not want to be in the middle of drywall dust and paint fumes. In many ways I do not blame her, and we are ok with her being with us. It is what she needs at this time, and we are happy to provide. Jason is lonley though, and I think will be very happy to have his family back together!

Benjamin is struggling, trying hard to make ends meet. But having just started work again after breaking his ankle things are very rough for him right now. But this youngest child of mine is strong and will make out fine. He is disapointed that he has had to miss fire season this year, but it will be there for him, when he is ready, next year.

Brittany, our youngest daughter is really coming into herself. She is a fine young lady and we are very proud of her. She is still living in the cottage with her two kitties. She decided quite some time ago (maybe a year ago?) that she was going to become a vegetarian. This did not surprize me one bit, and something I expected from her. This fact though does make it somewhat difficult for me, when I want to invite her to dinner, but I have learned to become creative…. and she has enjoyed most of my no meat creations.

Jamie is back to work today — in fact he is due home soon. This day has just flown by — and as much as I was looking forward to the alone time, I never got to any of the things I had hoped to. I will have to try again tomorrow!
